We have really enjoyed our stay in Yerington, NV! If you are traveling - with your dogs, like we do - you have to stay at the Copper Inn. Great people, clean rooms and your dogs can stay with you! Stop in and say hello to "Buddy" - he would be your 4-legged host at the Inn.
Wellington we will see you in a couple of days!
I am having trouble loading a video of Marvin rolling down Hwy 50. If you will go to our page on Face Book (Bullying Hurts) you can see it or go to You Tube and type in "PRCA Rodeo Clown rolls barrel 450 miles" you will be able to see it.

We have met some very nice people on our journey and believe we have made some friends too!
But the "Traveling Tu-Tu's" - three girls from Colorado who were bicycling across the state -
have got to be the most memorable so far!! Great girls!!
And would the high school girls who hunted Marvin down to give him the Gator Ade and chips please
contact me at our email address - bullyinghurts@aol.com
These are the same girls who were getting ready to go to work for Pizza Hut in Dayton.
We would like to thank you for your kindness!!

I'm really not sure if we will ever get used to the kindness we have encountered from the citizens here in Nevada and we certainly appreciate each and every one of you who have stopped Marvin as he rolls his barrel, just to visit and chat. It is because of you all, that we are able to keep going in our efforts to make our schools safer and happier for our children to learn!
A huge thank you to: Benson's Feed Store on State Hwy. 50 in Carson City.
If you live in the area, stop by their store. They are first class in the business and will take good care of you!

Rolling For Resolutions - 40 Days & 40 Ways to Combat Bullying
We are proud to announce that the barrel roll was kicked off at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno NV on Friday, August 19th. with the blessing of Meliss Garramone, CDMP/National Sales Manager of the Grand Sierra. Thank you Meliss for your support, generous accomodations and lovely dinner! We are very excited to hold our 2012 Bullying Conference at your beautiful resort!
To date Starvin' Marvin has rolled his clown barrel 33 miles, averaging 11 miles per day. The desert heat has been grueling but he is determined to reach his destination of Las Vegas (450 miles) in 37 more days.
Lots of water and fresh socks several times a day has helped but it is the kindness of the curious locals as they stop to offer the clown and his barrel a ride, that really keeps him motivated and always makes him smile when he explains that he is not stranded but is actually rolling his barrel for a reason.
Our hats are off and a huge thank you to:
Mr. Ray Callahan and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Stolz of Reno for their kindness and support of our efforts!
We are always happy to meet new friends and we welcome anyone to stop and chat.
Tonight we are in the wonderful community of Carson City, NV!
For more up-to-the-minute details of the barrel roll, follow us on our Bullying Hurts FaceBook page!

"Leading The Charge Against Bullying"
News Conference
The Plaza Hotel Las Vegas NV
AMARILLO, TEXAS -- Bullying is something that has
become more prevalent in schools across the nation, and one clown is
doing his best to put a stop to it. Marvin
Nash a former rodeo clown still puts on his paint and his barrel to show
kids that there are different kinds of bullying not -- just physical
violence.
But his message isn't just to stop bullying, it's also about teaching kids how to deal with it when it happens to them. "What
we do is through a writing worksheet, we try to get the children to
write down, how am I going to deal with this? Who can I go to? How does
it make me feel? So you can become active in the problem that you are
faced with." Nash says it's a group effort to teach the children how to function and work with each other.
