after losing alex, his sister(lauren) and I knew something had to change but had no idea where or how to start. We then met the nash's and realized there is help out there and that we were not alone. We both would like to thank marvin and darlene nash very sincerely for all their help and support.

I have attended one of your seminars and thank you for what you do. I pray that someday the school districts around the nation will join the fight. This is not about how you were educated or the training you received it's about the awareness. I think maybe we need to focus on the parents & bring awareness to families instead of the schools because most schools don't do anything when it's brought to their attention anyway. Maybe if we would start passing more laws for more accountability inside of our schools we would see changes. It is a joke that everyone becomes aware only when a tragedy happens. Please continue what you do. Thank you!

Hi and thanks for your piece in the WTE. I hope you continue raising awareness about bullying in schools in Cheyenne. A WTE letter writer didn't care for your "tone' but I thought it was spot on. I don't believe school officials have taken bullying seriously. If they did, it would not take place on school property. Period. There is a lack of discipline in schools. By that I mean students should be told early on in primary school and especially reinforced in middle school that lack of respect for fellow students will not be tolerated. This needs to be put in a letter to the students home so the parents are very clear. This also needs to be told to the students to their faces, in an auditorium setting by the principal with all students and teachers present. Anything less in just pussy-footing around the problem.
