Dar's Soapbox

For those of you who know us, you know that Marvin and I do quite a bit of traveling around the country.  Much of our traveling is done by plane but alot of the time - when we have the time - we like to take to the highways to enjoy the beauty of our country.  And what a beautiful country it is!
Every now and then we meet up with our Nation's fine Sheriffs and Law Enforcement Officers - not that we ever speed - I just think that they are doing their civic duty by pulling us over to welcome us to their wonderful counties and cities, and occasionally they make us feel even more welcomed by giving us their autographs on little slips of paper.  I think they like Marvin more then me because he has gotten more of those little slips of paper then I have!  
This past week we had the pleasure of meeting many more of those fine officers at the
National Sheriff's Association Conference
in Indianapolis, Indiana.
We would like to thank each and every one of you for protecting and serving our individual counties and communities. Because of your dedication,
America is a much safer place to work and live.
I would also like to thank those of you who took the time to stop by our booth during the conference.  As my way of thanking you for all those little slips of paper with your autographs, I have decided to include some pictures of fellow officers below. 
I know how much you will appreciate this and no thanks is necessary - it was my pleasure.  I would like to make one note - to those of you who are actually visiting this site and do see your picture below - I have turned in my driver's license and will no longer be driving on our highways.
